AKA - THE DIRT

The weather has been getting warmer, and the days are getting longer. It’s almost time to get outside and enjoy some time by the fire!! Here is a project we wrapped up last year. The owners were so happy to enjoy their new outdoor space with friends and family. Do you have a favorite spot in your yard to gather at with others?

“Earth can mean something as large as the entire planet, or as small as the dirt in your backyard.”

~Mark N Abo

When you think about it that way, one person can have an impact on the Earth in so many ways.

By caring for our little piece of the earth, we really can change the world. Happy Earth Day!

We’re working in Coventry today! Our homeowner was looking to tame this overgrown section of their yard to make way for some more grass.  Today we’re working on removing all the under growth, leaf litter and weeds.  Next this will be re-graded with more top soil added, and the new grass will be planted.  We’ll post some after pictures in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

This morning I was walking around my yard taking in all the magic that our earth has been busy creating. I don’t know about you, but I am always in awe that after even the harshest winter, the plants return from the ground. Often they return even stronger than they were the previous year. I found it even more poignant that I was taking all this beauty in on Earth Day.

Earth Day gives us a reminder to get outside and appreciate all the little things taking place around us naturally. It is a great reminder to be inspired by the nature around us, and be more vigilant in our own responsibility to preserve the land around us for future generations.

Honor the earth today by taking time to take a walk through your local woods, park, or yard. Examine the flower beds for evidence of the plants returning. Examine the trunk of a tree and see all the critters that are hiding within the ridges of the bark. Take in all the little magical details that we are often too busy to notice. Be awed and inspired by Earth’s varied beauty, bounty, and resilience. As always, reach out to Earth Landscape with your inspirations and aspirations, and we will happily work with you to make them a reality.
